XRP NFT marketplace: buying and selling XLS-20 NFTs

Most NFT marketplaces don't support the XRP Ledger at all. GraveMarket trades native XLS-20 NFTs alongside Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, Base and others — here's how XRPL NFTs actually differ, and what's currently trading.

What makes an XRP Ledger NFT different

On Ethereum, Solana or Polygon, an NFT collection is a smart contract someone deployed. The contract defines the token, the mint logic and — usually — the royalty behaviour. If that contract has a bug, the collection has a bug.

The XRP Ledger works differently. XLS-20 is part of the protocol itself. Minting an NFT uses a built-in NFTokenMint transaction rather than a contract you deploy. There is nothing to audit and nothing to exploit, because there is no contract in the first place.

Royalties are enforced by the ledger

This is the difference most people care about. On XRPL, the transfer fee is set when the token is minted and the ledger enforces it on every subsequent sale. It is not a marketplace policy and cannot be routed around by trading somewhere else.

On Ethereum and Solana, royalties are largely a convention that marketplaces choose to honour — which is why "optional royalties" became an argument at all. On XRPL there is no argument to have.

Offers instead of listings

XRPL doesn't have "listings" in the way an Ethereum marketplace does. It has NFTokenCreateOffer — sell offers and buy offers that live on the ledger. A sale happens when someone accepts an offer. Everything is on-ledger, so a marketplace going offline does not strand your listing.

What's trading on GraveMarket right now

Being straight about scale: we list 3 XRPL collections, not hundreds. One of them has meaningful liquidity, and two are early. Figures below were accurate on 29 July 2026.

CollectionSupplyOwnersFloor24h volume

Fuzzybear is the one with real depth — 677 distinct holders and genuine daily turnover. The other two are newly listed and effectively pre-liquidity; a dash means no active floor.

Should you use GraveMarket for XRPL NFTs?

Honestly: it depends what you want. If you're trading Fuzzybear or want one marketplace across XRPL and Solana/EVM without switching sites, yes. If you want the deepest XRPL-only orderbook and nothing else, an XRPL-native marketplace like xrp.cafe has more listings than we do today.

We run GraveMarket, so weigh that accordingly — but the collection counts above are the actual numbers, not marketing ones.

How to buy an XRP Ledger NFT

  1. Use an XRPL wallet — Xaman (formerly XUMM) is the common choice.
  2. Keep enough XRP for the account reserve. XRPL requires a reserve per account and an additional owner reserve for each NFT and each open offer you hold. This trips up newcomers: your balance is not all spendable.
  3. Browse a collection, accept a sell offer, and sign in your wallet. Settlement is on-ledger in seconds.

Common questions

Do I need a smart contract to mint on XRPL?

No — XLS-20 is native, so minting is a protocol transaction. There is no contract deployment step and no contract gas.

Are XRPL NFT royalties really enforced?

Yes, by the ledger, via the transfer fee fixed at mint. That is a genuine protocol-level guarantee rather than a marketplace promise.

Can I trade XRPL and Solana NFTs in one place?

That is the reason GraveMarket supports both. The same wallet-connect flow covers XRPL, Solana and the EVM chains we list.
